Kanye Omari West is a very talented person, who excels in music, fashion and business. He was born on June 8, 1977 and grew up in Chicago and China, when his mother was working there. West began as beat composer in 90’s, a lot of Chicago rappers depended on his work back then. In early 00’s he was main reason why Jay Z’s career got back on track. Yet despite his immense success as producer, he wanted to become singer. He started to work on debut album especially hard after disastrous car accident, which nearly killed him. This led to additional round of remixing and re-recording, but finally “The College Dropout” was released in February of 2004. Most popular song in this album was “Slow Jamz”, much to surprise of artist, as he expected “Jesus Walks” to gain more fame. Album received Grammy as Best Rap album and sold more than 4 million copies. While someone could relax after such debut, Kanye released “Late Registration” only a year later. It has been certified triple platinum, with aptly named song “Gold Digger” topping Billboard charts. After this, he started his fashion line “Pastelle Clothing”, which was cancelled four years later. He worked with such giants of industry as Nike and Louis Vuitton, and opened fashion label DW Kanye West. He is still a rapper first and foremost, and as of early 2017 he released seven albums in total.
