Donald Glover who is also known as Childish Gambino by his rap name has won the Record of the Year award at the Grammy Awards last year. The award was won for “This is America” which is one of the most popular and most influential records to be released in 2018. What’s interesting about this award is that Donald Glover himself was not present at the event.
Even though Donald Glover was nominated at the Grammy Awards, he decided to not attend the event. This is why he doesn’t get up on stage when his most popular song wins the Record of the Year award.
