The hottest track of 2016 is Drake’s own “One Dance” and the track is the first ever to reach the one billion streams milestone on Spotify. The top place in the Spotify chart was previously occupied by Major Lazer’s widely popular summer hit “Lean On”. What’s more interesting is that Drake’s track has been up on Spotify for only a few months, April to be more exact and we can only imagine how many streams it will manage to gather along the way. It’s safe to say that “One Dance” will reign as the number one song on Spotify for a long time.
“One Dance” isn’t only the most played song on Spotify, it’s actually the number one track in the Hot 100 chart and it’s been number one for over ten weeks now. Drake was actually awarded at Grammy’s with the “Song of the Year and Record of the Year” title because the “Views” album managed to go quadruple platinum in the US.
