Traditionally, girls have it really tough when it comes to entering the rap music industry. The problem is that there are way too many male rappers than females. While this is not necessarily a bad thing, it does make it a little bit harder for girls to shine. In fact, the only one that has been really successful at this is Nicki Minaj.
As previously mentioned, Nicki Minaj has been enjoying a lot of success these past few years. However, time has come for Nicki to step down and let another female rapper take her place. Remy Ma is the rapper that managed to dethrone Nicki Minaj when she took her title of “Best Female Hip-Hop Artist at the BET Awards”. We should mention that Nicki has been holding on to that title for seven years straight, but times have changed now.
