Lil Wayne has been one of the most influential rappers of all time and his return was highly anticipated by rap fans worldwide. Lately the prolific rapper has been making waves in the music industry once again and this time Lil Wayne surprised everyone with almost 100 football references that were included in his new “Running Back” track. This track features Wale and it’s a preview of “Tha Carter V”, which is Lil Wayne’s upcoming album.

The track has been showcased at ESPN’s First Take on January 4th and the two MCs were accompanied by a live band. As previously mentioned, the song was filled with football references such as “I used to play running back, I turn that football to a money bag”. What fans might know is that this track is actually a remix of Wale’s “Every Word Great”. This track will also be featured on Wale’s fifth album “Shine” which is an acronym for “Still Here Ignoring Negative Energy”.
