Justin Bieber is not ashamed of his past

Justin Bieber said in an interview with GQ magazine that he would not change his past and that would repeat the same mistakes.

The artist said that all his public controversies helped him to define his personality. Meanwhile, Bieber said that the song "Sorry" is not an excuse for his mistakes.

"People ran with ‘Sorry’ being me apologising with the song. It really had nothing to do with that. It was about a girl. Everyone, when they start growing up, realises ‘Man, I did some dumb shit when I was younger.’ It’s not just me. If I could go back, I wouldn’t really change much. I think it’s all my journey. That stuff made me who I am. I had the correct papers for the monkey but, in Germany, that monkey’s endangered or something. But I had the papers. I even had it written out that he was a circus monkey who could travel, all that shit. I had all the right papers, but things get twisted. Everyone told me not to bring the monkey. I was ‘It’s gonna be fine’, but it was the farthest thing from fine. I’ll get another monkey one day, but I have to make sure I’ve got a house and that it stays in the house."
