Muse
Biography

Muse are alternative/progressive rock band from England. Its members are Matt Bellamy, Chris Wolstenholme and Dominic Howard. Their homeland is town Teignmouth in the county of Devon. Folks started taking themselves seriously after winning battle of the bands in their region. They never expected to win, but people deemed them good artists. Thus, they leave their permanent jobs and move on to Manchester and London to play gigs there. Their first producer happened to know their parents and it eased signing of contract. With him, they released two extended plays – “Muse” and “Muscle Museum”. After performing at Woodstock and doing a few trips to America and back, guys secured a deal with Maverick Records. And in 1999 debut album “Showbiz” was presented to public. It became platinum in Britain, after selling more than 300,000 copies. Muse proved to be artistically adventurous band, as they never feared to experiment with exotic instruments. They tried big ones, such as church organ, and truly small – like animal bones. This raised novelty value of their second album “Origin of Symmetry”, which received rave reviews from all critics except politicized The Guardian, magazine which often judges art through lens of ideology. As of early 2017, band released seven albums in total and continues to delight its fans.
