Mike Posner
Biography

Michael Robert Henrion Posner or just Mike Posner is a hip-hop/R&B singer. He was born in Detroit on February 12, 1988 and raised in Southfield. Michael began as record producer and valuable contributor to art of his long-time friend Big Sean. When he started to feel more confidence in himself, he recorded few mixtapes – “Reflections of a Lost Teen” and “A Matter of Time”. He toured for a while with these, before completion of premier album – “31 Minutes to Takeoff”. Featuring posh cover art, 12 tracks, guest appearance from Boyz II Men and some nu-disco feel, it opened at eight spot of Billboard 200. Selling more than 500,000 digital version and nearly 200,000 physical copies in United States alone was more than Michael hoped for. He extensively toured with this album, and was writing content at the same time. Sadly, not everything went according to plan as album “Pages” had to be cancelled. 2016 album “At Night, Alone” included his single “I Took a Pill in Ibiza”, which made a lot of fuss in 2015, guest appearances from Labrinth and old pal Big Sean and 18 tracks in total. It was recorded at six different locations across USA and is considered to be more lyrical and mature album than debut one.
