Lady Antebellum
Biography

Lady Antebellum is a country music band of Nashville origin. Band members are Hillary Scott (daughter of well-known musician Linda Davis), Dave Haywood and Charles Kelley. Band traces its roots back to 2006, when three abovementioned people decided to work together. Name is homage to architectural style, which was common in Southern States before Civil War. Early 2008 saw release of their self-titled album, and it was memorable as first album coming from fresh band to get first spot of Billboard’s country charts. After this and couple more successful singles, Martina McBride picked them up as opening performers for her tour. Work on “Need You Now” album was done under Capitol Nashville label, and culminated with release on 26th of January, 2010. While it was undeniable commercial success with six platinum certifications as proof, critics were divided on actual artistic quality – Allmusic was favorable, while Rolling Stone criticized it and gave just 2 out of 5 stars. Lady Antebellum continued to deliver one album per year for two more years after this, with “747” taking a bit longer to produce and released in 2014. As of early 2017, there were plans to release album called “Heart Break” this year, and lead-up to it – single “You Look Good” was made available to general public in January. World tour to promote album was also in the works.
