Biography

Guns N’ Roses is a legendary US hard rock band. It was formed in 1985, in LA and soon they were signed to Geffen Records. During their career, Guns N’ Roses has released 6 albums, having sold almost 150 million records in the whole world. In 1987 the band debuted with the album “Appetite for Destruction”, which hit No.1 on the Billboard 200. They have managed to sell almost 30 million copies worldwide. Their album “G N’ R Lies” peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200. Their album “Chinese Democracy” (2008) has become the most expensive rock album of all times. According to revealed estimations, they have spent almost $14 million on its production. It hit No.3 on the Billboard 200. According to band’s members, they were mostly inspired by AC/Dc, Queen, Rose Tattoo, Aerosmith and The Rolling Stones. At the same time, a lot of modern bands were inspired by Guns N’ Roses. These are Nickelback, Fall Out Boy, Bullet for My Valentine, Hinder etc. Q magazine included the band into the list of “50 Bands to See Before You Die”. In 2012 they were elected to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
