Biography

Sir Elton John is a legendary English singer and composer. He was born on March 25, 1947, in Middlesex, England. At the age of 3, the boy already started playing the piano. When he was 11, Elton won a scholarship to enter Royal Academy of Music. 4 years later the singer started playing in a local bar. Soon he formed a band “Bluesology”. In 1967 he got acquainted with Bernie Taupin, who still remains his songwriting partner. They have created 30 albums to date. Elton managed to sell almost 300 million records worldwide, which made him one of the best-selling musicians of all times. In 1969 he debuted with the album “Empty Sky”. The single “Your Song”, hit top 10 in the United Kingdom and the USA. In 1976 the singer revealed about his bisexuality. Since 1988 he has been openly a gay. He started living with David Furnish. In 2014 Elton was legally admitted by England and Wales. He still remains one of the biggest supporters of LGBT movements worldwide. In 1976 the world saw him famous “Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word”. The single hit top charts in many countries and still remains one of the most famous tracks on the radio.
