Grace Martin Tandon, who is better known by her stage name Daya is a popular singer and songwriter from Pennsylvania. She was born on October 24, 1998, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The name Daya has Sanskrit roots and means “compassion” and “kindness”. When Grace was only 3, she started playing the piano. At the age of 11, she was fond of jazz piano. In 2015 she debuted with a self-titled EP. It included the song “Hide Away”, which hit No.23 on the Billboard Hot 100. It was warmly received by the audience and such bloggers as Perez Hilton. Next year, the singer released her debut album “Sit Still, Look Pretty”. In 2016 Daya was opening the tour of Jack & Jack’s in the USA. The singer was also invited to sing during Easter Egg Roll at White House in 2016. The same year the world saw her new song “Words”. Together with the Chainsmokers’ she worked on the track “Don’t Let Me Down”, which later won a Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording.
