Biography

Christopher Adam “Chris” Daughtry is a talented American musician. He became famous due to the TV show “American Idol”. After the project, he was signed to RCA Records and created a group, Daughtry. They debuted with a self-titled album, which became one of the best-selling in Nielsen Soundscan rock history. The band has sold almost 5 million copies during the first month. It soon hit No.1 on the Billboard chart. Together with Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood, Chris Daughtry became one of the most successful “American Idol” contestants. The single “It’s Not Over” was a nominee for Best Rock Song at Grammy Awards. The band has cooperated with many artists, including Chad Kroeger, Vince Gill, Sevendust etc. In 2009 Daughtry performed their new single “No Surprise” on “American Idol” The same year guys created an acoustic cover of Lady Gaga’s “Poker Face” and got almost 25 million views on YouTube. In August 200p Daughtry toured with Lifehouse and Cavo in Florida. The band also recorded a track, which became a soundtrack to the video game Batman: Arkham City. The song was exclusively created for the soundtrack and was not included on the next album.
