Biography

Daft Punk is a famous electronic duo from France. It was created in 1993 by Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter. Being a part of French house, the duo got its first prominence. They are also known to wear ornate helmets and gloves during their performances. In 1997 the duo debuted with the album “Homework”, which got a lot of positive reviews. In 2001 they released the second album “Discovery”, which included the hits “Digital Love”, “One More Time” and “Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger”. 4 years later the world saw their 3rd album “Human After All”, which became successful due to the hits “Technologic” and “Robot Rock”. During 2006-2007 Daft Punk toured and simultaneously released their next album “Alive 2007”, which later earned them a Grammy Award. The lead single “Get Lucky” from a new album “Random Access Memories” at once became an international hit. It reached top 10 charts in more than 30 countries. The album also got 5 Grammy Awards next year. Later Daft Punk cooperated with Weekend on the track “Starboy”, which hit No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
