Biography

DNCE is a popular pop/rock band from the USA, which includes Jack Lawless, Joe Jonas, JinJoo Lee and Cole Whittle. Jonas and Lawless were the initiators and created DNCE in 2015. The name of the group comes after one of their songs, which tells about being too drunk and be not able to pronounce the word “dance”. They signed with Republic Records and soon debuted with the hit “Cake by the Ocean”, which hit top 10 on Billboard Hot 100. Gigi Hadid dating with Joa Jonas at that moment partially worked on the song’s video. In 2015 DNCE also released their first EP “Swaay”. The next year the group was nominated for Kids’ Choice Awards and Radio Disney Music Awards. In November 2015 DNCE began their 14-date “Greatest Tour Ever”. All the tickets for the tour were sold out. They also joined Selena Gomez to open her performances during Revival Tour. The tour was highly praised. In 2016 they debuted with the album “DNCE”.
