Biography

Blake Shelton has become a popular American singer due to the TV show The Voice. He was born on June 18, 1976, in Oklahoma. At the age of 12, the boy already started singing. His uncle taught him to play the guitar. Blake wrote his first song when he was 15. Two years later, he moved to Nashville to build a music career. He is mostly famous for his single “Austin”. It was No.1 at Billboard Hot Country Songs chart more than 1 month. His first album became platinum. The second album “The Dreamer” and the third “Blake Shelton’s Barn & Grill” became gold and platinum as well. The single “The Baby” climbed to No.1 on the music charts. In 2003 the singer married Kaynette Williams, but soon they broke up. In 2011 Blake married Miranda Lambert. In 2012 they performed at the Super Bowl XLVI. He also became one of the judges on The Voice. This year the world saw his new album “Red River Blue”, which hit No.1 Billboard 200 for the first time.
