Billy Currington
Biography

Billy Currington is a talented country singer and guitarist from the USA. He is best known for his songs”Pretty Good at Drinking Beer” “People are Crazy”, “Must Be Doin’ Somethin’ Right”. He was born as William Matthew Currington on November 19, 1973, in Savannah. When attending Effingham County High School, the boy auditioned at Opryland. He failed it and moved to Nashville to build his music career. He started singing in a bar Cavalier Country Club in Georgia. In 2003 Billy signed to RCA Records and released his first self-titled album. The single “Walk a Little Straighter” climbed to No.8 on the Hot Country Singles & Track Chart. “I Got a Feelin’” hit Top 5 of country’s charts. Later he founded the Global South Relief Organization. In 2005 the singer released his second album “Doin’ Somethin’ Right”, which was the second on the Top Country Albums chart. RIAA certified the album as platinum. Next year Billy was awarded the Hottest Video of the Year by CMT Music Awards.
