P!nk
Biography

Pink (sometimes stylized as P!nk) is a stage name of Alecia Beth Moore. She was born on September 8, 1979 in a small borough Doylestown, Pennsylvania. Alecia developed her voice as a kid, despite suffering from asthma. She had some troubles with her emotional state when teenager, and started working at clubs of Philadelphia since she was 14 years old under her current pseudonym, which is a reference to character from “Reservoir Dogs” After spending some short time in girl band called “Choice”, Pink started working with Babyface and Tricky Stelwart on her album “Can't Take Me Home” which was released in early 2000. While its best place in charts was a mere 26, it proved to be consistent slow seller and eventually sold more than two million copies in USA. She quickly released another album next year, and this is when her image became more unique and recognizable. “Missundaztood” received heavy promotion from label Arista, with Pink appearing on covers of nearly all major magazines related to music and show business in general. Yet, its best place at Hot 100 was only 18. Still, it became a huge hit in United Kingdom and ended up being one of best-selling albums of entire decade in that country. As of 2017, she released six full albums, being on de-facto hiatus since 2012. She also likes to appear as cameo actress in various Hollywood movies.
