Biography

Meek Mill is a stage name of Robert Rihmeek Williams, rapper of Philadelphian origin. He was born on 6th of May, 1987. Robert had difficult youth. His father died during robbery and mother was very poor. He became involved in rap battles of his neighborhood under prototype of his future professional pseudonym – Meek Millz. After brief period with band The Bloodhoundz he began to record solo promotional tapes and offered them to producers. One day he was able to negotiate a deal with Warner Bros., but unfortunate arrest and seven months of jail prevented that cooperation. After release and spending some time to help other artists with their work, Meek Mill signed up with Maybach Music Group and released premier single “Tupac Back”. First album “Dreams and Nightmares” came out in late 2012 and many fellow rappers were honored to appear on this album, including Rick Ross, Kane Beatz and Infamous. It had a great debut at charts for newcomer’s album – second spot at Billboard 200. RIAA designated it as Gold album. Second album “Dreams Worth More Than Money” was recorded during three straight years and came out in summer of 2015. It did even better than predecessor both critically and financially.
