Jake Owen
Biography

Jake Owen (born as Joshua Ryan Owen on August 28, 1981) is a country music singer from Florida. He changes his first name in order to avoid customer confusion with Josh Gracin and Josh Turner, established country musicians. “Yee Haw”, Owen’s debut single, was released in first quarter of 2016 and enjoyed moderate success, peaking at 16th place in Billboard’s country song charts. It was later included in premier album – “Startin’ with Me”. Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley noticed the guy after this release, and signed him on to be their opening act. Second album, “Easy Does It” came in 2009 and climbed up to 13 spot in Billboard’s 200. Thanks to, Owen received prestigious award from Academy of Country Music, which named him Top New Male Vocalist. Jake continued his work and released more albums in subsequent years: “Barefoot Blue Jean Night”, “Days of Gold” and more recent “American Love”, released in 2016, met average success from both critics and markets. During these years, Owen never managed to become self-sufficient artist, always needing side promotion, continuing to work as opening act performer for Eli Young Band, Parmalee and The Cadillac Three. His personal life is not that good either, having divorced top-model Lacey Buchanan after three years of marriage. But he works and hopes for the best.
