Iggy Azalea
Biography

Iggy Azalea is a rapper from Sydney, Australia. She relocated to United States when she barely 16 years old, to pursue hip hop career. She worked there illegally until 2013, flying back and forth to renew visa waiver. She was granted five-year O visa then. Her first serious project was a mixtape called “Ignorant Art”. It contained well-known track “Pu$$y” and had a lot of guest appearances from various artists like YG or Problem. Azalea’s premiere album was entitled “The New Classic” and in went through publishing hell, getting finally released only two years after recording by Def Jam Recordings. It enjoyed moderate financial success, with best track being “Black Widow”, which got as high as number 3 in Billboard’s Hot 100. This album got Iggy three Grammy nominations, and later was reissued with five additional songs under new title “Reclassified”. Second album, “Digital Distortion”, is in production since late 2015 and is yet to be finished. One of main reasons this time is a breakup of relations with her former boyfriend, NBA player Nick Young, which made it difficult for Iggy to harness her feelings. Azalea often frequent men’s magazines awards, which recognize her beauty. Famous magazine “Maxim” named her hottest female in Australia in 2014, while GQ magazine offered her their Woman of the Year award in 2016.
