William Maxwell II, better known by his stage name Fetty Wap is a famous US rapper. He was born on June 7, 1991, in Paterson, New Jersey. William was born with the diagnosis – glaucoma. In 2015 doctors couldn’t save his left eye and inserted the rapper ocular prosthesis. He got a nickname “Fetty”, which is a slang word for money. Later he added “Wap” and chose it as his stage name. In 2015 Fetty Wap debuted with the single “Trap Queen”, hitting No.2 on the Billboard Hot 100. It was played almost 10 million times on SoundCloud. Later RIAA certified it as platinum. Soon he was signed to 300 Entertainment and released “679” and “My Way”, which became extremely popular in the country. The same year, the fans saw his debut self-titled album, which peaked at No.1 on the Billboard 200 chart. Fetty Wap always wears the flag of Haiti during his performances. According to one of the rapper’s interviews, his major influence was Gucci Mane. He was 2 times nominated for Grammy Awards and 3 times for American Music Awards in 2016.
