After the album release “All or Nothing” he was involved in a public hostility with another rapper 50 Cent, who assaulted Fat Joe in his song “Piggy Bank”. In 2006 the rapper was signed to Imperial Records and soon released the album “The Elephant in the Room”. A little bit later 50 Cent made a video on his YouTube channel, featuring the funeral of Fat Joe. In 2011 the rapper appeared in the song “Welcome to My Hood” by DJ Khaled. In 2012 he was sentenced to 4 months in prison for tax evasion from 2007-2010, which counted $3 million.
