Biography

Far East Movement (FM) is a popular contemporary electronic band. It was formed in LA in 2003. The guys grew up together and once decided to form a group. They started from singing in local bars lofts and clubs. At first, they called themselves “Emcee’s Anonymous”, but later made up Far East Movement. In 2005 the group debuted with the mixtape “Audio-Bio”, which included a lot of their early songs. Next year they released their first album “Folk Music”. The single “Round Round” was used for the film “The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift”. Soon the group signed a deal with Avex Network and JF Production, which was followed by two worldwide tours. In 2010 they were signed to Cherrytree Records. The single “Like a G6” became a real hit in the USA, hitting top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100. They became the first Asian-American band in the list. Fm collaborated with Snoop Dog, Bruno Mars, One Republic, Frankmusik etc. In 2010 they won Best International Artist at the Mnet Asian Music Awards. Later they toured together with Calvin Harris and Rihanna. After this, the guys began their own The Free Wired World Tour.
