Biography

Ellie Goulding is a lovely English singer and songwriter. Elena Jane Goulding was born on December 30, 1986, in England. She entered Kent University to study drama but soon was advised to take a break to build a music career. In 2009 she was signed to Polydor Records. Soon Ellie released the single “Under the Sheets”. The track debuted on BBC Radio 1, which resulted in frequent rotation of airplay. 2009 saw her first EP “An Introduction to Ellie Goulding”. In 2010 she was the second on the BBC “Sound of 2010’ poll”. The singer also got a British Award the same year. Soon Ellie debuted with the album “Lights”, which hit No.1 on the UK Albums chart. Ellie managed to sell almost 1 million copies of it the Homeland. Soon she made a cover of Elton John’s “Your Song”, which peaked at No.1 in the United Kingdom and instantly became an international hit. Goulding was invited to sing it during the wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton. In 2012 Ellie Goulding released her second album “Halcyon”, which included a famous single “Burn”. It hit No.1 charts in the UK. 2 years later she was awarded British Female Solo Artist at British Awards.
