Biography

Ed Sheeran is a famous singer and songwriter from the UK. He was born on February 17, 1991, in West Yorkshire. At the age of 4, Ed started singing in a local church choir. He was mostly influenced by Eminem, The Beatles, and Dylan. At the beginning of 2011, Ed himself released an EP No.5 Collaborations Project. It was instantly noticed by Elton John and Jamie Fox. In 2011 he was signed to Asylum Records and debuted with the album “+”. It was later certified 7 times platinum in the United Kingdom. He was awarded Ivor Novello Award for the single “The A Team”. Next year in 2012, Sheeran got 2 British Awards: British Breakthrough Act and Best British Solo Male Artist. Soon his popularity expanded abroad. Ed appeared on Taylor Swift’s album “Red”. His song “The A Team” was nominated for Grammy Awards in 2013, where he performed with Elton John. In 2013 the singer released “I See Fire”, which later was featured in “The Hobbit”. The single became an international hit worldwide. In 2014 the world saw the release of Ed’s second album “x”. The single “Thinking Out Loud” got 2 Grammy Awards in 2016.
