Darius Rucker
Biography

Darius Rucker is a famous singer and songwriter from the USA. He first became popular as the lead vocalist of the band Hootie & the Blowfish. Darius was born on May 13, 1966, in Charleston, where he still lives with his wife and 3 beautiful children. In 2002 Darius debuted with the solo album “Back to Then”. Unfortunately, it didn’t reach any charts. In 2008 Rucker was signed to Capitol Nashville and soon released the album “Learn to Live”. The single “Don’t Think I Don’t Think About You” hit No.1 on the Hot Country Songs charts. In 2009 he was the first African-American artist to get CMA New Artist Award. In 2010 the singer released “Charleston SC 1996”, which hit country’s top charts. The single “This” has become the most prominent from the album. 3 years later the world saw his next record “True Believers”, which earned Darius a Grammy Award. In his free time, Rucker is fond of football and often spends times with his two best friends – Braid Paisley and Tiger Woods. He got married in 2000 with Beth Leonard with whom they’ve got 2 children. The third Rucker’s child is from another woman.
