5 Seconds of Summer
Biography

5 Seconds of Summer is an Australian pop punk band, created in 2011. It includes the members Luke Robert Hemmings, Michael Gordon Clifford, Ashton Fletcher Irwin and Calum Thomas Hood. They started their career from posting videos on YouTube, which instantly caught the attention of Sony. In 2012 the band released an EP, entitled “Unplugged”. It occupied number 3 position on the iTunes chart of Australia. They were also in the top 20 in Sweden and New Zealand. When they released a single “Out of My Limit” in 2012, Niall Horan (One Direction) tweeted the video link. Next year it was announced 5SOS would accompany One Direction on their worldwide Take Me Home Tour. During its break, the group returned to Australia to play a national headlining program. At this time 5SOS started to gain much popularity. In 2013 they signed to Capitol Records. In 2014 the band released a famous single “She Look So Perfect”. Later this year 5SOS continued to support One Direction on their tour across the US, Canada, UK and Europe. In 2014 they also released their first album called “5 Seconds Of Summer”.
